From the south a section of broken tarmac until road in from right. Good tarmac past Long Meg to the farm. A short metalled section to a metal gate, then a muddy track to a wooden gate into woodland.

Tarmac at S end to Long Meg Fm. Well maintained c.stone surface for 300m to N from Long Meg Fm; then muddy & narrow & poorly drained to NY 5695 3823; then muddy/rutted, poss due to shooting-party traffic, to NY 5699 3896; narrow/poorly drained to 5697 3924

Very varied conditions exist. Sections are very narrow and poorly drained. Some sections appear to be used by sport-shooting traffic. Tarmac past Long Meg (stone circle, important archeological site) & to farm; then muddy/grassy; overgrown & narrow due to badger setts. Tractor use in parts.
