Little Ormside to Sandford
Length: 2.89 miles (4.620 km)
Generally good gravel track at both ends before the river approaches.
Route from west drops through fields towards river passing by a holiday caravan. Line then goes right 50/100 yds to steep, fenced drop and river edge.
On eastern side approach to river is a narrow lane to the left blocked with farming hurdles. Close to river route heads downstream in thick trees to crossing point. Steep drop into river.
Historically ford was called Dauby Wath and crossings may have taken place over 1/4 mile distance depending on conditions.
